Getting ready for Easter

Easter morning is huge at Grandma’s house.  Over 100 people come to a big brunch and egg hunt.  Guess who’s doing the baking!

I felt the need to practice a bit before the big baking days.  Here are my chick cake pops!  I got the idea from

These little guys are just cake balls…no pops. I’m glad this is just practice, haha!

For a more classy look, these are the same on the inside, but dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with nuts.

To make cake balls, just get a cake mix from the store, follow the directions on the box for baking and then let it cool.  Once cooled all the way through, break it apart and mix it together with 16oz of icing. Form into balls and put in the refrigerator to chill. If you want cake pops, add the stick before putting in the fridge. Once chilled, dip in chocolate and Viola!  Again, this idea was found on  Yum Yum!

  1. I want to make the cake pops! How hard were they to make? Could you find all of your supplies easily? These are adorable. What kind of cake and frosting did you use?
